Downer Designer is an online tool which is free to use and enables you to outline all of your specific rainscreen framing requirements.

Simply enter all of the information you know, and your desired ‘must-haves’ and then our technical team will provide a digital quote, with relevant costings and optimised rail and accessory recommendations which you can then print off.

Downer Designer is ultimately a design and pricing tool, which offers a comprehensive and tailored quote and calculations for installers, architects and contractors – quickly and effectively. A unique tool which provides precise and optimised framing layouts and suggested m2 bespoke to your project.

Downer framing is manufactured from 600 series
extruded aluminium alloys conforming to BS EN 573-3 and production BS EN 755.

Although we are the first to say we are extremely proud of our Downer Designer and the reporting outputs it delivers, it cannot replace a thermal consultant or surveyor.

Our thermal service was designed to calculate project specific bracket chi values also know as point loss chi.

Please note the thermal report is not a specification document. Our optimisation service can be used to calculate an optimum thickness of one insulation layer within the wall build-up in combination with our support system.

Thermal service is not a layout / take-off service. Our service can calculate up to 3 varying general area calculations. Further required calculations and / or full layout / take-off calculations should be provided by an appropriately qualified thermal consultant.

Soffit areas and static calculation corner areas are excluded from this service.

Please note condensation reports are not included in our offering.

Downer Designer static calculations service and thermal service are interlinked and the thermal service is not available without project specific static calculations from Project Builder.
