We’re thrilled to reveal that Downer Designer is now LIVE!
Downer Designer has been carefully conceived to help specifiers, designers and specialist contractors design and cost any rainscreen framing solution.
As part of our bid to make life easier for our existing and future Downer Framing clients, this next-generation, free-to-use platform offers a dedicated portal. Inside you can take advantage of its easy to use set-up to create and cost multiple rainscreen cladding framing systems and projects.
Downer Framing, the original Helping Hand framing solution, was one of the first rainscreen cladding framing systems on the UK market. BBA approved, tested to the extreme and officially Made in Britain at our factory here in Hastings, it set the benchmark back in 1988 and to this day is leading the way.
Downer Designer – a free-to-use online tool which enables specialist contractors, designers and specifiers to outline their project-specific rainscreen requirements to generate optimised framing calculations and configurations. All of which is stored and managed in your own personal online portal.
How do you use Downer Designer?
All you have to do is simply enter the information they know, along with any detail-specific needs for your new build or refurbishment projects.
Our Downer Framing Technical Team will then provide you with static and thermal calculations, relevant costings, optimised component and fixing configurations, along with an NBS specification. All of which can be printed off or saved as a pdf. The time it takes to do all of this is usually around 10 minutes. Our Downer technical team aim to have a Project Pack ready for you within just 24 hours!
The interfacing software which Downer Designer connects with was created by a team of specialist structural engineers. The user-friendly platform enables specialist contractors, designers and specifiers to optimise even the most complex rainscreen framing projects from the very first instance, saving the design team not only money, but time and inconvenience.
